Missouri Forest Resources Advisory Council

DJ Case was enlisted to develop and facilitate a process to consolidate widely diverse interest groups into what would become the Missouri Forest Resources Advisory Council (MoFRAC). DJ Case first collaborated with a small working group to identify problems, opportunities, and constraints related to standing-up MoFRAC. Then, all affected parties - about 30 participants representing diverse woodland management perspectives - were invited to a one-day group discussion and process that resulted in (1) crafting MoFRAC's mission statement, (2) identifying the organization's key functions, and (3) electing MoFRAC's first slate of officers. Particularly helpful and popular among participants was a DJ Case-guided technology that allowed each participant to "vote" using an infrared keypad, with polling results projected immediately, thus displaying the will of the group for all to see and discuss.
