Deanna McCool’s experiences in the communications and planning fields, plus an interest in conservation and natural resources, make her a natural fit to operate as a writer, editor and photographer on various client projects.
Deanna’s passion for communications evolved during several years as a reporter for magazines and daily newspapers, where she wrote about topics such as government, agriculture and environment. Also, Deanna served as president of the South Bend-Elkhart Audubon Society, spearheading the designation of International Important Bird Areas for three northern Indiana sites.
Deanna also understands the importance of communications from a governmental point of view. She spent two years as an associate city planner, balancing the needs of citizens, developers and the environment in a growing small city.
She earned bachelor’s degrees in journalism and criminal justice from Indiana University, where she also minored in studio art.
