Turtle Conservation and Trade Management Workshop

When the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service embarked upon its first-ever gathering of turtle regulators, managers, biologists, and law enforcement personnel in the U.S., DJ Case was there to help by providing advance and on-site meeting planning, including making travel arrangements for participants and conducting small group facilitation during the workshop. This ground-breaking event sparked a dialog among key stakeholders regarding the status of freshwater turtle management, the role of various organizations, management and research needs, and recommendations for future conservation actions. The workshop provided a concrete first step in the process to strengthen turtle conservation and trade management in the U.S.
