The Summit on Conservation Education charted a strategic course for conservation education programs in North America. This historic meeting - the first of its kind - laid the foundation for development of the American Conservation Education Strategy, the first national conservation education strategy in the U.S. The International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (now the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies) hired DJ Case to plan and facilitate this ground-breaking event. We helped develop the agenda, identified speakers and participants, coordinated all logistics, compiled input from participants, and helped develop final recommendations and actions. The Summit significantly raised the profile of conservation education within state agencies and their partners and was instrumental in developing a strategic vision for implementation of effective conservation education programs in state fish and wildlife agencies.

DJ case planned and facilitated the groundbreaking Summit on Conservation Education.

Alabama Director Corky Pugh thanked DJ Case and Summit participants for charting a strategic course for conservation education programs.

DuPage County Forest Preserve Executive Director Brent Manning was a champion of the Summit and of conservation education within state agencies and their partners.
