Missouri State Park Visitor Survey

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) hired DJ Case to analyze survey data collected from 3,362 visitors to five Missouri state parks. Like many state agencies, MDNR staff have the expertise to collect, analyze, and report the visitor data, but for this project, MDNR chose the economical and efficient alternative of enlisting DJ Case to provide analysis and reporting. We analyzed park visitor profiles, perceptions, preferences, satisfactions, activities, and expenditures, and found subtle but important differences among park clienteles. Many resource agencies have survey data (including insightful responses from open-ended questions) that remain unanalyzed for any number of reasons. DJ Case can analyze these data for important clues to constituent expectations - insights that may lead to better service and greater public support for agency programs and initiatives.
