DJ Case served as project manager for four different phases of the Indiana Wetlands Conservation Plan project — an effort to resolve highly contentious issues regarding wetlands. We set up and managed a steering committee and advisory group of diverse stakeholders to develop mutually-agreeable strategies for wetland conservation in Indiana. We produced a video program and a written plan to distribute the strategies and other information to the public. In subsequent phases, we developed a Focus Area Sourcebook, outreach planning guide, and numerous wetland fact sheets. We also presented Adopt-A-Wetland education workshops to groups of stakeholders.
The Indiana Wetlands Conservation Plan won a National Wetland Award for Outstanding Program Development from the Environmental Law Institute. The video won an Apex Award of Excellence from Communication Concepts and DJ Case was named the 2003 Conservation Award winner by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for work on the Wetlands Conservation Plan.

The Indiana Wetlands Conservation Plan is helping conserve myriad unique wildlife species that rely on wetland habitats for survival.

DJ Case's role in the Indiana Wetlands Conservation Plan helped diverse stakeholders find common ground on contentious wetland issues.
