Waterfowl biologists of the Central Flyway enlisted DJ Case to help administer and analyze a mail survey to assess hunter preferences for various waterfowl hunting regulatory packages. With harvest estimates in one hand and survey results in the other, and by comparing these data to earlier baseline studies, Central Flyway biologists were able to gain extraordinary insights to the effects that regulations have on waterfowl populations over time, as well as hunters' preferences for various duck hunting regulations over that same period.
