In May 2008, a Web-based survey was administered to pre-registrants of the Future of Waterfowl Management Workshop to solicit feedback. The draft report of survey results below will help inform the further refinement of meeting objectives and the final agenda.

The two documents below provide reference material for the Workshop's premise of improving coherence in waterfowl management. The first (Runge et. al. 2006), discusses the desirability of developing and using coherent population objectives for waterfowl harvest and habitat management; the second (Joint Task Group Report) provides greater detail on developing a coherent framework that also includes explicit consideration of hunter satisfaction and other elements of human dimensions.
